Just Not Enough Left

Judy is a regular client at St. Francis House. Seventy years old, she receives Social Security and food stamps, but after paying all her bills and medicine, her disposable income is only $147.00. She comes in monthly for food and clothing, but like most of our clients prefers to provide for herself as much as possible.

The first time she asked for additional help was in 2011 when she needed help with a utility bill. Reluctantly, last week she needed to ask again. Judy had gotten behind on her water bill. She was able to pay the bill this month, but not the past due charges.  The water company was going to shut off the water. St. Francis House was happy to help, and we’ll be here again when you need us!
