Scrambling to Help St. Francis House

Golf Scambles that is! For almost 20 years, golfers have gathered once a month from April through October to play golf and raise money for St. Francis House. The golf ministry was started by Luke Gilbert and Father Ed Morgan at St. Mark’s. An avid golfer, Father Morgan thought a monthly scramble would be a good way to raise money, build relationships, and have some friendly competition on the golf course. Over the years,  the St. Francis House Golf Association has donated over $12,000 one hole at a time!

The St. Francis House Golf Association tees off monthly on the second or third Thursday each month, April through October. The association is open to men and women who want to support St. Francis’ mission and their friends. The format is a scramble, so all levels of golfers are welcomed. Anyone can join at any time. Inviting friends is welcome; in fact, it is encouraged. Join us for one round or every month. It’s great fellowship for a worthy cause!

We play at various courses throughout central Arkansas, and we pay our own cart and greens fees. Our members support the St. Francis House discretionary fund through a $10 contribution each time we play. Our next scramble will be June 20 at a course to TBD. If you would like to play or join the email list, please contact Luke Gilbert,  lgilbert@st-marks.com or 501-225-4203.
