Ask anyone who has recently had a child, and they will tell you that all the things required add up quickly! Now imagine a new child and being homeless. St. Francis House recently got a call from Jericho Way., the day shelter for our unsheltered community members. One of their clients, a homeless couple, was getting ready to have a new baby and needed everything, including a car seat, which they had to have before she could take the baby from the hospital. Our Community Outreach staff sprang into action! Soon a car seat, a Pack and Play, diapers, wipes, shampoo, blankets, lotion, and bottles were all ready and waiting to be picked up and taken to the hospital!
