Marsha wasn’t sure about Christmas this year. Being a single mom with seven children, three of whom are triplets and have special needs, is never easy, but this year, anything for the holidays seemed even more out of reach. Additional medical expenses caused her to fall behind on her utility bills, and it looked like she wouldn’t even have water for Christmas.
Marsha reached out to the Department of Human Services, and they were able to help pay a part of her water bill, but she still needed additional help. That’s when DHS referred her to St. Francis House. Thanks to you we were able to help her pay that bill, and our staff in Social services immediately put her on the Christmas list. This Christmas will find Marsha with bills paid, food on the table and gifts for all the children for Christmas!
