You can still suffer the consequences. Jason is 83 years old and has lived on a fixed income for years. His Social Security income of $680.00 isn’t huge, but he could always make ends meet… until recently. A few months ago, Jason received a letter that Social Security had miscalculated his payment and would be cutting his monthly income by almost $80.00 a month. He managed by using local food banks to supplement his grocery money and paid most of his bills, but when his last check arrived and was just $44.00, he desperately needed help. Jason was referred to St. Francis House by CADC for help with his electric bill. Thanks to all of you, St. Francis House was able to pay the bill and keep his electricity from being turned off.
