Jennifer is a single mom with a new baby. Jennifer has diabetes and it has posed difficult complications for both Jennifer and her child. Her child, Opal, is on a feeding tube due to suffering from bilateral cleft palate and is still in the hospital. Jennifer has been in and out of the hospital as well as they try to get the complications from her pregnancy and diabetes under control. It was just all too much.
Jennifer has not been able to work and fell behind on her bills. Spiraling food costs meant groceries were also a problem. Luckily St. Francis House was there to help. Community Outreach was able to pay most of her electric bill as well as give her groceries. She will also be able to get commodities and food boxes in the coming weeks. Finally, our new baby gift bags with blankets, bottles, diapers and other necessities were a definite hit!
