One of our female Veterans was fleeing a domestic abuse situation. We were able to get her and her special needs son into a hotel and then into housing. We talk regularly and she’s doing so well! She’s standing on her own two feet, building self-confidence and navigating the system on her own. She’s even looking for better housing now and seeking full custody of her son so they can sever all ties with their abuser-Brittany
