It’s Becoming Too Common

LW is another of our unsheltered clients. She comes in monthly for a TAP bus pass, snack bags and occasionally clothing. We hadn’t seen her in a while and were able to catch up when she came in. Her story is becoming more common. While camping, she was beaten and robbed and had to be admitted into the hospital. She was released from the hospital, but doesn’t want to go into a shelter because of bad experiences at shelters in the past.  And though we couldn’t convince her to look at shelter options, we could at least replace her sleeping bag, give her food and get her clothing.
