Joe Campbell received a Thanksgiving basket from St. Francis House this year. But Joe has been a part of the St. Francis House community for almost thirty years.
“I went to Good Shepherd for church and came to afterschool and summer programs at St. Francis House. I started at nine years old and it’s one reason I’m so good with God. I remember the color-coded name tags we had for each group after school. And I learned the Lord’s Prayer right over there,” he said, pointing to Good Shepherd. “I wanted a cookie and that was your treat if you memorized the prayer. We went fishing and did all sorts of activities. We still have the children’s BibIe that I got….I passed it on to my three girls. I learnt a lot and I still come to St. Francis house when I need something.”
