Army Veteran AL and her fiancé’ are both in recovery. Starting over was tough, but when they moved to Little Rock to help care for an older family member, life got easier. They had a place to live, a family and both found jobs as well. But when AL’s relative passed away, the house went to another family member, and they were left homeless.
They were living in a tent close to their work when they learned about SSVF. “We were able to get them into temporary shelter and we’ve started the HUD/VASH process. They are out of the tent and off the street and should have a permanent place to live very soon.” -Angela
