UAMS Honors Our Veterans

UAMS brings dinner and a program for our veterans every year in honor of Veterans Day! This year, they started off with dinner cooked on site by Corky’s!

Then everyone met in the chapel for gifts bags, and a raffle including beautiful blankets and gift cards!!

And finally, two of our Veterans were honored for their service while at St. Francis House! Certificates, challenge coins and $25 gift certificates!

Mr. Hendrix is a proud U.S. Army veteran who served from 1978 to 1984. Known at SFH for his servant heart, he is always eager to help others. He is quick to see a need and equally eager to address it. Taking his role at SFH seriously, Mr. Hendrix does not let his past define him. As a true mentor to his peers, he offers guidance and support with kindness and understanding.

Mr. Conway is a dedicated U.S. Army veteran who served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. His courage and commitment are truly commendable. Since arriving at SFH, he has consistently been the first to help his peers and the staff, demonstrating outstanding selflessness. As he prepares to move next week, his presence will certainly be missed.
