“Anna” is the mother of twelve children ranging from the age of 3 to 20 years old – five daughters and seven sons. When her husband went to prison, she became the sole support of the family. A hardworking employee and dedicated mother, she still struggles to make ends meet. She has been coming to St. Francis House monthly for assistance with food, clothing, and utilities. Like many of our working poor, “Anna” and her children live on the fine line between having a home and being homeless. With the help of SFH, she is able to continue to provide for her family.
