Last night our Veterans visited Christ Church where the Daughters of the King (and their ‘male auxiliary’) from Christ Church and St. Peter’s, Conway served up a wonderful chicken dinner. A color guard from Stuttgart National Guard opened the evening’s festivities, a special touch always enjoyed by our Veterans. Both Veterans and servers spotted familiar faces from other evenings at Christ Church, turning an evening out into a reunion! Lovely piano music to dine by made it a perfect time for smiles and conversation. As one of the Veterans put it “The food was five star and they made us feel so welcome. It’s so good to know how many people care about us.”
