St. Francis House was excited to participate in Rock the Block, Love Neighborhood. About 50 volunteers gathered at St. Francis House to paint and provide repairs to three neighborhood houses. The event was spearheaded by Habitat for Humanity, and Rhonda Ross, President of the Love Neighborhood Association, helped identify the first series of owner-occupied homes to be a part of the service project. Organizations helping included Little Rock Job Corps, Saint Mark Baptist Church, Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, Rotary, the Love Neighborhood Association, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, St. Francis House, and City of Little Rock Department of Housing and Neighborhood Programs. Youth from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church kept people fed and hydrated, and some of our St. Francis House Veterans also joined in the fun!
