Mary is a single mom who just recently had her sixth child. Her husband left several months before the baby was born. One of her children is disabled and she is the full-time caregiver. Though she receives help for her disabled child, she still has to cover expenses for the others and without her husband’s paycheck, there is simply not enough to go around.
She had gotten behind on her bills and found ways to pay for everything except the water bill, which was several months behind. While she works on securing additional assistance for her and her children, DHS, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and St. Francis House all pitched in to get the water turned back on!
