John had just moved into his new apartment. The seventy-year-old Veteran on VA disability and Social security had never had a problem paying bills before. However, moving is expensive, and sometimes, things get forgotten. Shortly after he settled into his new place, his electricity was cut off. When he checked on the shut-off, it turned out he had a past missed payment. When the electric company transferred his bill to the new address, to the new place, the back payment triggered a cut-off and a late fee. It wasn’t much, but after his move, he was just a little short. St. Francis House staff talked to the electric company to remove the late charge, and we paid the bill. Thank you for your service John and enjoy your new apartment
