Our first, off-campus Veteran’s dinner since March 2020 was a huge success! St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Jacksonville hosted our Veterans for a fun-filled night of music, great food, and all-evening fun! Every Vet also got a thank you card from church members, a seemingly small thing but so appreciated! As one of the Vets said on the way home “I’m keeping mine in my pocket and any time I feel bad, I’ll take it out and look at it. It reminds me that someone cares and that there are good people in the world.” Another commented, “If everyone treated others like we saw tonight, the world would be a wonderful place.” Thank you, St. Stephen’s, for a great evening and even more for showing us the church being the Church!
