Angela came into St. Francis House to seek help with a water bill. She lives with her mother, Mabel, a 91-year-old retired nurse. Mabel suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease and requires round the clock supervision. Since Medicare doesn’t cover long-term care and her benefits are not enough for an assisted living facility, Angela had no choice but leave her job and become a full-time caregiver.
